Chancel Choir

We rehearse Wednesday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and gather for the Sunday morning warm-up rehearsal at 8:15 a.m. The service begins at 8:45 a.m. Most of our choral concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Those who wish to attend the Wednesday evening rehearsals in preparation for “Seasonal Concerts” may do so without a Sunday commitment. The Chancel Choir season runs from September through June.

Contemporary Worship Team

Each Sunday, Our Savior’s offers a come-as-you-are worship service that blends contemporary music with traditional songs and hymns, all with a focus on the Word. Led by the Contemporary Worship Team, this service features piano, keyboards, guitars, drums and other instruments to provide accompaniment for our voices raised in worship. The Contemporary Worship Team meets year round to prepare for the contemporary service and special music. The group meets one weeknight evening from 7:30 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday mornings from 9 a.m. to the end of the worship service (times and dates are subject to change).

Seasonal Opportunities

The Celebration Concert Series offers a variety of musical opportunities for the congregation and the community.  This outreach ministry selects quality musical artists who are willing to perform as a benefit for their favorite charity.  At each concert a freewill offering is received, proceeds of which are sent to local and worldwide charitable organizations.  These concerts are publicized throughout the Portland Metro area inviting the community to attend and the congregation is encouraged to bring friends.  Typically, there are 4 concerts each year, one of which is our own Chancel Choir Christmas Concert
