I feel highly favored that I was able to write you a word of confirmation and exhortation. You are the ones that have held the banner high! You are free to use this message in any way that affirms your ministry and brings Glory to God. Warmest regards and safe travel! You have blessed us in return!

What a wonderful reception we had from family, friends and church. The team seems to be undergoing the same things: catching up on sleep and news but especially the cold. Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes!

We have returned from Les Anglais to the RMI Guest House in Les Cayes and are shortly headed to the Retreat Center in Zanglais.
What an incredible trip we have experienced! All are well and other than Jim’s cold no one has come down with any sickness. We built the 17 Haiti School Desks with the good help of the Haitian volunteers. We had a Ladies Gathering where we gave out the Aprons our church sewing team put together to 98 women of the Church. We had a great Sunday night service where two people came forward to accept the Lord. Dave Fahlman’s message, and Rick Thomas and Mike Haner’s powerful testimonies were part of a fantastic night of worship in the downtown of Les Anglais.
We had a wonderful time with the Hope For Kidz children, and most of the rest of the communities children when we gave out 400+ bags of popcorn, and presented the school with some school supplies, and we also presented the soccer balls from Dan Holstein’s family. Suffice it to say the children went delirious when...

We left Portland (30 degrees) on time @12:15; got into Dallas about 7:00 TX time; and into Miami FL 11:00 p.m. (78 degrees). (The Floridans were surprised to meet Blazer fans - we were playing Miami when we got there.) Spent the night at the airport hotel and got up early for breakfast and left @7:30 a.m. and got into Port Au Prince around 9:30 a.m. (hot). After a 4 hour bus ride we reached the RMI guest house in Les Cayes, bagged the gifts for the ladies tea, organized school, medical and RMI supplies. We had a delicious Haitian dinner with American fried chicken. Off to bed - we have breakfast @7:30 before our orientation.

The team has been packing since Sunday! REALLY! The generosity of the our church family is amazing. The team will be taking along checked in baggage to transport all the aprons that were made (60+) and the collected soaps, shampoos and lotions for the ladies tea, cookies, punch, school supplies, fabric, a few medical supplies, cleaning supplies, clothes for kids, popcorn, etc., etc. Now it's time to get our personal items all in a carryon and backpack.

The Haiti dinner was not only delicious and fun, we met our goal. So many wonderful people showed up and it was a room full of love. (Not only for each other but for a people most do not even know.) We are truly helping the "least of these". The volunteers really deserve our appreciation. Makes my heart swell - must be joy!
