Health Ministers and our Parish Nurse work together to provide support, comfort
and health education to our congregation and community. We are in the process of
expanding our program with a health needs survey and discussions with members
or our congregation.

Health Ministers are members of the congregation who have experience and/or
training in home visitation and consolation. The Parish Nurse (PN) is an RN who
has had additional education to provide nursing care in a faith community. This
role is also known as faith community nursing. Each congregation identifies their
particular needs though in general, the PN makes home visits to evaluate spiritual,
health and resource needs. She also provides the congregation with information to
improve their spiritual, physical and emotional health.
