Lutheran World Relief

Twice a year, OSLC collects and ships clothing, blankets, school and health supplies to Lutheran World Relief (LWR). In addition, fair trade coffee and chocolate is available for purchase most Sunday mornings from Equal Exchange, a partner or LWR. Through this program more money is given to the farmers of the developing countries who grow it. Additional money is used for medical supplies and community improvement in these areas. Burns Mission

Each summer since 1997, OSLC has sent a team of high school youth and adults to serve the people of the Paiute Indian Reseravation in the high desert near Burns, Oregon. The mission brings a week-long Vacation Bible School to the children of this community as well as engages in various work projects on the reservation. Youth learn basic carpentry, maintenance, and landscaping skills while being servants of God.

Lake Oswego Transitional Housing

OSLC, along with 7 other local churches, support the Lake Oswego Transitional Shelter (LOTS) both financially and with volunteers. The shelter is an outreach mission that provides a place for families to live while making the transition form homelessness to self-sufficiency over a period of 3-6 months. Each church takes a 2-week rotation to check in with current residents and provides them with any needed support. In addition to providing shelter, the ministry provides financial support for counseling, parenting education, and enrichment classes for children.

Food Pantry

Congregation member at Our Savior's generously donate to our Food Pantry. The food pantry provides food to more than 500 people each year in Lake Oswego and surrounding areas. In addition, the Food Pantry puts together food baskets for both Thanksgiving and Christmas to provide holiday meals to local families in need.
