Welcome to Guests and Visitors
Our Savior’s extends a very warm welcome as you worship with us on Sunday mornings. It is our hope and prayer that God touches your life through worship, study, or fellowship. We invite you to stop by the Information Center to receive a special “Guest Bag.” We have different Guest Bags for first, second, and third time guests. Each bag is filled with church brochures and special gifts that will brighten your day. Thanks again for worshipping with us and please come again.
Worship Times and Styles
Our Savior’s offers worship opportunities consistent with the Lutheran Confession and is intentionally evangelistic, upholding the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His universal call to “Come and See!” The traditional service features traditional hymns, organ and piano music, the Chancel Choir, and liturgy. The contemporary service features contemporary confessions and contemporary praise songs led by the Worship Team — which is comprised of a 7 to 10 piece band and vocal ensemble. Take a lighter look at the difference between traditional and contemporary music. In addition to the regularly scheduled services, seasonal services are offered throughout the year. You are always invited to join us.
Inclement Weather Policy
Church services will NOT be cancelled for weather emergencies. However, no one should put themselves or their family at risk to fulfill a ministerial assignment or attend church services. When travel is dangerous, all are excused from the obligation to attend church services. Our partking lot can be the most treacherous.
Communion
Holy Communion is the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ given as bread and wine (or grape juice), instituted by Christ himself for us to eat and drink for the remission of sins. Communion is celebrated at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church on the first and third Sunday of each month. The first Sunday of the month we will commune with individual cups at the kneelers, and the third Sunday we will commune by intinction (dipping bread/wafer in a common wine or grape juice cup). All who are baptized are welcome to share in Communion. If you are physically unable to come forward for communion, please notify one of the pastors prior to the service. Then you may sit in one of the front two rows, and the servers will come to you. We also offer classes to prepare your fourth grade child for First Communion.
Children
Children are encouraged to join us for worship service. There is a special children’s message every Sunday. Activity Bags are available when you enter the Celebration Center, including fun and educational projects. In addition, the children often sing for the congregation, or participate in skits and pageants. Child care is available for children, ages 0-3 years.
